NADARA GYPSY ROMA ROOTS
MAHALA GYPSY DANCE MUSIC FROM THE BLACK SEA REGION
Nadara originally started off as a wedding-band in Romania. This ensemble started a tour through western Europe 15 years ago and immediately got recognized as remarkable among the Roma gypsymusic-community.
Performances followed at the largest International Romanian-Roma-Festival: Sziget, Iraf, the International Festival in Tilburg (Neth.), the Kamaron Festival in Hungary etc. etc. After that followed performances in the large theatres although the group still loved(s) small, intimate venues. That is were the group flourishes: Alexandra (Alex) loves the direct contact with her public and knows how to mesmerize her fans with the authentic songs from the gypsy village.
This 15 years anniversary Nadara presents the Mahala from the Bukarest pubs, Orïental dancing music from the Black Sea area and the continues evoluating wedding music from Transsylvania. Roma original dances support the music.
