Art Base has always been a space where musician-artists felt at home. The exhibitions of John Squire (Stone Roses) in 2011 and of Caceres (Tango Negro) in 2013 were the prelude for an artistic policy towards artists unwilling to choose between music and visual expression.
Nikolas Tsilogiannis (1946) is a Greek artist who lives in the Netherlands. He is a drummer in jazz ensembles and is always looking for the boundaries of improvised music. In addition, he expresses himself with making intriguing objects, sculptures and paintings. This exhibition features bas-reliefs in wood and paintings on canvas.
Since 2001 Nikolas Tsilogiannis collaborates with artist Klasina Wieringa, under the name Niklaz.

On a wrinkle of dream
And a smile to reality.”
