ON THE ROAD WITH BEETHOVEN MIKI SAWADA, PIANO
Miki most recently finished a tour of the Caribbean and Mediterranean, where she gave more than 200 performances as part of the resident piano quintet at Lincoln Center Stage, a collaborative project between Lincoln Center and Holland America Line. Miki’s performances have been featured at venues and occasions in the U.S. such as: Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chicago Symphony Center’s Macy’s Day of Music, Salon de Virtuosi (NYC), the Oneppo Chamber Music Series at Yale, PianoFest in the Hamptons, and radio stations WQXR (NYC) and WFMT (Chicago). Upcoming engagements include a debut recital at the Helsinki Music Centre with duo partner cellist Lukas Stasevskij and a premiere of a work written for her by composer Phong Tran at Spectrum NYC. Miki holds degrees from Yale School of Music, Eastman School of Music, and Northwestern University.
