FLEUR INVERSE Claudio Girard - countertenor, Axel Gilain - double-bass
Fleur Inverse is a collaboration between countertenor Claudio Girard and double-bass player Axel Gilain, exploring the inter-relation of Early and Baroque music with jazz and improvisation. In performing the music of Claudio Monteverdi, Henry Purcell, Hildegard Von Bingen, Giulio Caccini and John Coltrane, Fleur Inverse re-imagines this repertoire as if it had been written today, shifting the perspective of the performer and thus allowing a new expressive context to emerge.
Fleur Inverse re-evaluates the notion of tradition, revealing exciting new grounds for music and story-telling.
